Greta Gerwig Stars in MCC's THE VILLAGE BIKE, Beginning Tonight

MCC THEATER welcomes Greta Gerwig, joined by Max Baker, Jason Butler Harner, Lucy Owen, Cara Seymour, and Scott Shepherd, in the American premiere of Penelope Skinner's celebrated play The Village Bike, the final production of MCC's 2013-14 Main Stage season. The Village Bike is directed by Sam Gold, who recently directed the much-raved new musical Fun Home and this season's The Realistic Jones on Broadway. The Village Bike premieres at The Lucille Lortel Theatre(121 Christopher Street, NYC) beginning tonight, May 22, 2014 with an official opening on June 10, 2014.

The 1979 cult classic 'The Warriors', with an introductory performance by acclaimed poet Lemon Andersen., is the next screening in the 'Sunday Movies at the Palace with Lin-Manuel Miranda' series that features classic New York City films every month. It's set for tonight, May 18, 2014. Doors open at 4:00pm. Stage show begins at 5:00pm. Screening at 5:30pm.

MCC THEATER has announced that indie film star Greta Gerwig will now be joined by Max Baker, Jason Butler Harner, Lucy Owen, Cara Seymour, and Scott Shepherd in the American premiere of Penelope Skinner's celebrated play The Village Bike, the final production of MCC's 2013-14 Main Stage season. This completes casting. The Village Bike-which begins rehearsals today-will be directed by Sam Gold, who recently directed the much-raved new musical Fun Home and this season's The Realistic Jones on Broadway.
