Fashion is a global multi-million dollar industry that has captured the world since the emergence of the sumptuous 'New Look' style during the 1950s when fashion became more popularized by Hollywood mavens such as Betty Grable, Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe. Fashion profoundly affects the ways we think, feel and react in society, where we use clothes to identify ourselves and communicate messages as to who we are. Yet for decades, Western society has been obsessed with body image as fashion has blatantly augmented the matrix of outer beauty.
