Last night marked the official album launch event for KURIOS-Cabinet of Curiosities, the soundtrack to Cirque du Soleil's latest Big Top show, currently playing in San Francisco through January 18, 2015. This soundtrack represents a thrilling new sound for the company. In line with the show's theme of time travel, the music of KURIOS-Cabinet Of Curiosities (composed by Raphael Beau with Bob & Bill) compels you to imagine musicians from jazz's peak era performing alongside contemporary DJs. The blending of vintage and modern styles in the music (a theme that extends to all facets of the show) serves to present jazz and swing in a way that has universal appeal. The intriguing songs complement the show's mission, which is to blur the lines of fantasy and reality, immersing the viewer in a mysterious and fascinating realm that disorients the senses and challenges perceptions.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, led by Artistic Director Diane Paulus, just announced the world premiere of Waitress. Opening theA.R.T.'s 2015-16 Season, this new musical will be directed by Diane Paulus and feature book by Jessie Nelson and music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. The production will begin performances at the Loeb Drama Center on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Additional creative team and casting will be announced at a later date.

MSG Entertainment (MSGE) announced today that Tony Award-winning actress Laura Benanti and Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mia Michaels will be choreographing the opening number of the NewYork Spring Spectacular, presented by Chase, at Radio City Music Hall, to debut in March.

59E59 Theaters will host the New York premiere of EVERYBODY GETS CAKE!, created and performed by Joel Jeske, Danny Gardner and Brent McBeth, and directed by Mark Lonergan. La Jolla Playhouse announces the latest presentation in its acclaimed Without Walls (WoW) series, THE GRIFT at the Lafayette Hotel, a world-premiere, immersive theatre piece, conceived, written and directed by Diabolical Muse's Tom Salamon, creator of the Playhouse's wildly-successful WoW production of Accomplice: San Diego.
