Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to announce its fourth and fifth production of the season, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, written by Tony Kushner. Angels in America opens with the first of the two part play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, on Know Theatre's mainstage through May 8, 2010. The second half of the production, Angels in America: Perestroika, will open April 23 and play through May 8, 2010.

Impetuous Theater Group & The Brick Theater, Inc. present THE VIGIL or THE GUIDED CRADLE: A play about torture. Written by Crystal Skillman. Directed by John Hurley.

Tony Award Winner LaChanze will sign copies of her new children's book 'Little Diva' on Tuesday May 11. LaChanze will also be performing the original song that accompanies the book.

The NorthEast Shakespeare Ensemble (NESE) has begun rehearsals for its production of Shakespeare's monumental tragedy, Othello, with the strongest cast in its seven-year history. Directed by NESE Artistic Director John Goodlin, Othello will run for eight performances from May 21 through May 30 at Colby-Sawyer College's Sawyer Center Theater in New London.

Asia Society announces that Tony Award-winning star of Law & Order: SVU, BD Wong will lead the cast of a staged concert of 'Heading East', a Richard RodgersDevelopment Award-winning musical by Robert Lee and Leon Ko. Performances will be held in the Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium at Asia Society. Asia Society will benefit from the proceeds of the event, which is co-produced by Andrew Asnes and directed by Darren Lee.

Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) concludes its celebratory 25th Anniversary Season with a special celebrity benefit stage reading performance of Godfather IV written by Emmy Award-winner Tom Fontana ('St. Elsewhere,' 'OZ'), with original music by Stephen Elkins.

After a world premiere at Palm Beach's Florida Stage last December, Carter W. Lewis' Storytelling Ability of a Boy will end its run at Aurora Theatre as part of the GGC Lab Series, May 2. This new series of plays is made possible through the generous support of an inspired sponsor, Georgia Gwinnet College (GGC). The GGC Lab Series features contemporary works fueled by innovation, creativity and inspiration, designed to give voice to playwrights representing our current generation of artists. Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), will end its production of Eric Overmyer's 'On the Verge or The Geography of Yearning' on May 2nd. Mel Gussow, in his New York Times review of 'On the Verge...' wrote, 'Blending Tom Stoppard's limber linguistics with the historic overview of a Thornton Wilder, Mr. Overmyer takes his audience on a mirthful safari that leads from darkest Africa to Terra Incognita, spinning into time travel.'

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will close the world premiere of THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY by David Bar Katz on May 2nd.

A tuneful, funny musical score meets a giant man-eating plant when Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS devours the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, with a hit movie and a Broadway revival to its credit, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will close Sunday, May 2nd. Locally produced exclusively for Southern California audiences, performances take place at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Amari Cheatom, Brian D. Coats, Chuck Cooper, Maria Couch, Harriett D. Foy, Dion Graham, April Matthis, Jacob Ming-Trent, Seth Numrich, Stephen Plunkett, Michael Siberry and Shelley Thomas will be featured in its upcoming LCT3 world premiere production of ON THE LEVEE, a play with music, conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet, with play by Marcus Gardley, and music and lyrics by Todd Almond.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park ends its Marx Theatre season with the music of jazz great Fats Waller in AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'. This supercharged sizzle of song and dance will run April 30 through May 29 in the Robert S. Marx Theatre.
