Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to announce its fourth and fifth production of the season, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, written by Tony Kushner. Angels in America opens with the first of the two part play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, on Know Theatre's mainstage through May 8, 2010. The second half of the production, Angels in America: Perestroika, will open April 23 and play through May 8, 2010.

The NorthEast Shakespeare Ensemble (NESE) has begun rehearsals for its production of Shakespeare's monumental tragedy, Othello, with the strongest cast in its seven-year history. Directed by NESE Artistic Director John Goodlin, Othello will run for eight performances from May 21 through May 30 at Colby-Sawyer College's Sawyer Center Theater in New London.

Mel Gussow, in his New York Times review of 'On the Verge...' wrote, 'Blending Tom Stoppard's limber linguistics with the historic overview of a Thornton Wilder, Mr. Overmyer takes his audience on a mirthful safari that leads from darkest Africa to Terra Incognita, spinning into time travel.'
