Blue Man Group, announces six winners of the 2013 Blue Man Group Art Competition. The six winning pieces will be unveiled on September 20, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. on the south exterior wall of the Briar Street Theater (3133 N. The "Blue Men" are usually men of few (or more accurately, no) words, but I got one of them, Russell Rinker, a veteran Blue Man, to speak long enough to tell me a little about himself, this exciting new production and why audiences of all ages are in for a real treat.

While I've seen BLUE MAN GROUP live and on DVD, they're always tweaking their act so that it's a new experience each time you see them perform. Oh, they're smart enough to keep some of the old gags so that they remain familiar (the camera tour down an audience member's throat, the snarky message board, the interesting instruments),but there's enough current material added so that the group is consistently engaging no matter when you see them. The current production playing the Fox Theatre (through December 2, 2012) is a great evening's entertainment, and seeing it with my seven year old son in tow made it even more special.

The Blue Men will perform "Shake Your Euphemism," a wildly popular song that incorporates dozens of alternate words for derriere, and that is featured in all Blue Man Group productions worldwide. The final remaining six contestants selected from thousands of hopefuls will bring out all the stops one last time, as they compete in front of judges Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and hostNick Cannon for their final chance at the $1 million prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas. The grand finale will also feature performances by Justin Bieber, Green Day and NE-YO.
