Michael Isikoff is joining NBC News as National Investigative Correspondent. The announcement was made today by NBC News President Steve Capus. Isikoff will report for all platforms of NBC News, including 'NBC Nightly News,' 'Today' and MSNBC. Isikoff will also contribute to msnbc.com in a branded destination for the web site.

MSNBC Sees 42 Percent More Viewers Than CNN In May

MSNBC continues to out-draw CNN in primetime, finishing May with 42 percent more viewers in weekday primetime, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. This is the fourth consecutive month MSNBC has out-rated CNN in primetime among both Adults 25-54 and total viewers. MSNBC's 'Morning Joe,' 'Hardball with Chris Matthews,' 'The Ed Show,' 'Countdown with Keith Olbermann' and 'The Rachel Maddow Show' all out-rated CNN in May.

ABC Family has acquired the basic cable television rights to the Emmy(R) Award-winning television series 'Friday Night Lights,' in a deal with NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, it was announced today by Tom Zappala, Executive Vice President, Program Acquisitions & Scheduling, ABC Cable Networks Group, and Frances Manfredi, Executive Vice President/General Sales Manager, Cable and Non-Theatrical Sales for NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.
MSNBC Beats CNN for the Third Consecutive Month

MSNBC continued to pull away from CNN in April, beating "the most trusted name in news" in every hour from 6 p.m.-12 a.m. and beating CNN in total day for the third consecutive month among the key Adults 25-54 demographic, according to data released today from Nielsen Media Research.
