National Geographic to Adapt Bill O'Reilly's Upcoming Book KILLING JESUS

With the record-breaking success of the National Geographic Channel (NGC) factual drama of Bill O'Reilly's best-selling history 'Killing Lincoln,' NGC President Howard T. Owens announced today that the network will once again join forces with Scott Free Productions to produce a film based on 'Killing Jesus: A History,' the recently announced book from O'Reilly with co-author Martin Dugard, to be published by Henry Holt and Company on Sept. 24, 2013. The announcement comes as the network is also in pre-production on the film adaptation of 'Killing Kennedy,' expected to air globally on National Geographic Channels later this year.

Additional casting for Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series KLONDIKE (wt) has been announced. Ian Hart, Augustus Prew and Johnny Simmons join the cast of KLONDIKE, joining previously announced cast members Chris Cooper and Abbie Cornish.

Cone Man Running Productions' is bringing the Regional Premiere of Christopher Trumbo's 2003 play TRUMBO: RED, WHITE AND BLACKLISTED to Houston. The play mounted on Broadway with a revolving door of big name celebrities playing Christopher Trumbo's father, Dalton Trumbo. Nathan Lane, Tim Robbins, Brian Dennehy, Ed Harris, Chris Cooper, and Gore Vidal all spent some inhabiting the heroically indefatigable Dalton Trumbo. In New York, the actors were not off-book, carrying the script on stage with them. Cone Man Running Productions has its three actors off-book as much as possible, only reading from the witty and wordy letters composed by Dalton Trumbo.

On the heels of filming 'August, Osage County,' Academy Award Winner Chris Cooper will star in Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series titled KLONDIKE (wt), playing the role of Father Judge. Cooper won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for the film 'Adaptation.' English comedian Ricky Gervais is reportedly in talks to star in THE MUPPETS sequel as the film's lead character, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The Disney film is set to begin production in January with Gervais potentially tackling one of the three 'human main characters,' and MODERN FAMILY's Ty Burrell as another.
