Artistic Director Robert Lyons announced today casting for two shows in the 19th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2012 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre's new West Village space at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Jessica Dickey (Wit on Broadway, The Amish Project) and Liz Wisan (Other Desert Cities) will star in the New York Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Miss Lilly Gets Boned along with Brian Belcinski (My Base and Scurvy Heart), Adam Blodgett (The Cotillion), Sanam Erfani (Cats Don't Grin), Aaron McDaniel (Aquila's Macbeth), David Rosenblatt (The Play About My Dad) and Chris Thorn (Guthrie's Henry V).

After a second sold-out show engagement at Joe's Pub in January, songwriter Drew Gasparini has been invited back to the famed NYC venue for a third concert on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 9:30pm. The evening will feature brand-new material from Drew's show Circles, and his upcoming serial killer musical, Make Me Bad.

Theatre Aspen is holding a private reading of the new musical Cross That River on Thursday, January 26th, in New York City. The musical is subtitled "a new musical about the black west" with a book by Allan & Pat Harris and Andrew Carl Wilk and music and lyrics by Allan Harris (based on an original story by Allan & Pat Harris).

Theatre Aspen's upcoming summer season, reported Artistic Director Paige Price. The award-winning regional theatre unveiled the brand new Hurst Theatre in Rio Grande Park on June 24th with two musicals and a comedy. The theatre's 28th season of summer repertory features the regional premiere of Becky's New Car, by native Coloradan Steven Dietz, starring Emmy- and Tony-nominee Sandy Duncan. Opening July 7th is the beloved musical Annie, by Thomas Meehan (book), Charles Strouse (music) and Martin Charnin (lyrics), and the new musical Vices: A Love Story, (story by Michael Heitzman & Ilene Reid, and music and lyrics by Susan Draus, Everett Bradley, Michael Heitzman and Ilene Reid). On Wednesday, May 11th, Morgan Karr officially released his much- anticipated debut EP. An actor, singer and songwriter hailing from Nashville Tennessee, Karr's first release comes after quickly making his mark on the New York City entertainment scene. The album is co-produced by Grammy Nominated Producer Juan Patiño (Lisa Loeb's 'Stay'), Cliff Goldmacher (Jane Monheit, Spencer Day), and Kevin Fisher (Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans).
