The Shaw Festival today announced the 2015 season playbill. The Shaw's 54th season features 11 productions including the re-envisioning of two enduring Shaw comedies and two newly commissioned Canadian works. The 2015 season will feature Sweet Charity, Pygmalion, Light Up the Sky, Peter and the Starcatcher, You Never Can Tell, The Divine, The Lady from the Sea, Top Girls, The Twelve- Pound Look, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Socialism and Capitalism with a Key to the Scriptures (IHO) and The Next Whisky Bar - A Kurt Weill Cabaret.

Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) will present the World Premiere of BASTARDS OF STRINDBERG. This evening of short works inspired by Strindberg's iconic Miss Julie is written by four exciting contemporary playwrights: Dominique Morisseau (Detroit '67), David Bar Katz (Tony nominee for Freak), Andreas Boonstra (winner of Sweden's Thaliapriset award) and Lina Ekdahl (winner of Sweden's Werner Aspenstrom Award). Directed by Henning Hegland and Alicia Dhyan House, previews begin September 2 at Off-Broadway's The Lion Theater at Theatre Row. Opening night is set for September 5.

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside and American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, are proud to announce the Saturday, June 21 performance of Grounded, by George Brant and directed by Lisa Portes, at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. is a benefit performance for Children of War Foundation. Proceeds from the performance will go directly to surgery and medical treatment for Shah Bibi Tarakhail, an Afghan Child Affected by War. The running time is approximately 80 minutes.
