TV Land scored record-breaking numbers for its eighth annual 'TV Land Awards' hosted by Tim Allen, attracting nearly 2 million total viewers for its Sunday, April 25 (9-10:30 p.m. ET/PT) telecast. The star-studded special, held on the historic Stage 15 on the Sony Lot in Culver City, was the highest-rated and most-watched TV Land Awards since 2004 among the network's key demos of: Adults 25-54, Adults 40-54, Women 25-54 and among total viewers. The network also witnessed double-digit ratings gains over last year's 'TV Land Awards' across all these demos.

On April 25, the TV Land Awards featured a special tribute to GLEE, which was the recipient of the 'Future Classic Award'. The performance of 'Don't Stop Believin' included a cast of TV Land favorites and was lead by David Hasselhoff and Marilou Henner.

Legendary funnyman Mel Brooks is set to be a featured guest at the TCM Classic Film Festival in April. As part of the festivities, TCM will partner with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as they honor Brooks with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which marks its 50th anniversary this year. Reprise Theatre Company's production of 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,' 1962's Tony-Award-winning Best Musical, will play its final performance on March 28 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Directed by David Lee, the production's book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

A report in The Canadian Press says that comedian Mel Brooks is working on a musical adaptation of his 1974 film 'Blazing Saddles'. Brooks says he has written two songs for the show and is currently working on a third.
