Canadian Stage unveiled its highly anticipated 2010-2011 season today, marking the first season programmed by Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn. The season heralds a bold, new direction for the company. Jocelyn seeks to redefine Canadian Stage as a centre for national and international multi-disciplinary theatre that pushes boundaries, adopts a 21st-century perspective and reflects Toronto's cultural diversity. The Route 66 Theatre Company kicks off its 2010-2011 season with MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT, a new play by Scott T. Barsotti, directed by Damon Kiely. MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT features an all-star cast including Randy Steinmeyer, Kate Buddeke, Blair Robertson, Tyler Ross, Dane Halvorson and Danielle Brothers. MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT plays October 7 - November 14, 2010 in Richard Christiansen Theater, upstairs at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Following the reversal of their convictions and their release from prison, six Death Row inmates tell their harrowing stories in their own words in the drama, The Exonerated by Jessica Blank and Erik Jenson. The play will be performed at Nashville's Christ Church Cathedral's Cheek Hall in six performances October 7-9 and 14-16 as the kick-off to the seventh season of the Sacred Space for the City Arts Series.
