Orlando Shakespeare Theater to Present THE FROG AND THE PRINCESS, 6/18-7/26

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF kicks off its 2015-2016 Children's Series with a World Premiere adaptation of The Brothers Grimm's The Frog and the Princess. Adapted by Brandon Roberts (2014's Rapunzel and 2013's Sleeping Beauty), the family-friendly production will play from June 18 - July 26, 2015 in the Goldman Theater. Individual tickets ($9 - $15) may be purchased online at www.orlandoshakes.org, by phone at (407) 447-1700 ext. 1, or in person at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street).

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is excited to unveil four of the productions in its highly anticipated 26th Season. Audiences will be inspired by the award-winning music of Les Miserables and challenged by the themes of Mark St. Germain's new play, The Best of Enemies (both part of the Theater's Signature Series). Previously known as the Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) Series, Orlando Shakespeare Theater's 2014-2015 Children's Series will include a World Premiere adaptation of Rapunzel, followed by The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. The complete 26th Season will be announced at a later date. Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF launches its 2014-2015 Children's Series with a quirky retelling of Rapunzel. After record-breaking productions of Cinderella (2012) and Sleeping Beauty (2013), playwright Brandon Roberts returns to provide audiences with another hilarious, family-friendly fairy tale this summer. Based on the story by The Brothers Grimm, Robert's World Premiere adaptation of Rapunzel will introduce the classic fairy tale to a new generation of kids and families. The production runs June 19 through July 27, 2014 at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Orlando's Loch Haven Park. Weekend tickets, $12 for youth (ages 3-17) and $15 for adults, are available by calling (407) 447-1700, online at www.orlandoshakes.org, or in person at 812 East Rollins Street. Special rates available for schools and groups of 10+.

Complete with a brave prince, a beautiful princess, and a magical kiss, this quirky retelling of Sleeping Beauty will introduce the classic fairy tale to a new generation of kids and families. This World Premiere adaptation is written by Brandon Roberts and runs through July 28, 2013 in the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Orlando's Loch Haven Cultural Park.

Orlando Shakespeare THeatre will soon present Sleeping Beauty, by Brandon Roberts and directed by Patrick Braillard. Princess Rose is celebrating her birthday with the entire kingdom until a bitter, wise woman named Wartsuch interrupts the festivities. She casts a wicked curse on the little princess, dooming her to a 100-year sleep. This updated retelling of a beloved fairytale comes complete with a cell phone, handsome prince, and a magical kiss!
