When the curtainss opened in Uhlein Hall last weekend at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Milwaukee Ballet unfolded Michael Pink's world renowned Dracula to a mesmerized audience. While the stage Dracula seduced his prey, the ballet company danced with sensual abandon in technical beauty that captivated the audience through the three act evening accompanied by the accomplished Milwaukee Symphony Ballet Orchestra directec by Andrew Sill. To up the production's intensity, stunning lighting effects conjured by the award-winning designer David Grill focused color shimmered on backdrops or a moon rising above the dancers where spectacular lighting illuminated the theater.

York Little Theatre will present DRACULA in The Bon Ton October 23-25, 29-31 & November 1. There is no place to hide in the intimate setting of the Bon Ton Studio where the audience feels as though they are experiencing the action first hand with the characters. The front row sits on the actual stage and will certainly feel the terror that Dracula brings.  Innovative use of projections, stagecraft, sound and lighting will have the audience fully submersed in the DRACULA experience.

Atlantic City Ballet to Stage Halloween Performance of DRACULA, 10/31

Halloween just wouldn't be the same without taking in a performance of Atlantic City Ballet's “Dracula”. Since 2006, “Dracula” has been mesmerizing audiences with its spell binding choreography, beautiful costumes and captivating music. This year Dracula makes another haunting return to the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City. 'Dracula,' an original work, choreographed by Artistic Director, Phyllis Papa, is a full length ballet that has captured audience's imaginations with hypnotic fascination. “Despite the reputation of the main character, AC Ballet's production is family friendly.” says Phyllis Papa. “Young and old can enjoy our ballet which follows closely to the Bram Stoker novel” Looking for a ballet tradition that equals Nutcracker, Phyllis Papa created Dracula to capture vampire enthusiasts in hopes of bringing a younger audience to see the ballet. Performances will take place at the Claridge Hotel, Saturday October 31st, Halloween, at 4pm and 10pm. The 10pm performance will feature a costume contest after the performance and prizes given for best costume.

A 'boy ballet with bite' arrives in Milwaukee this October to foreshadow the Halloween holiday weekend. Milwaukee Ballet presents the iconic Dracula under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Pink and Production Manager Douglas McCubbin. The two men met almost 15 years ago when McCubbin danced Dracula's title role in the 2000 Royal New Zealand Ballet production, which then forged a fast friendship between the two artists ever since. Six months after Michael Pink arrived in  Milwaukee, McCubbin followed by joining the Milwaukee Ballet and again performed the title role under Pink's direction in 2005.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to Host 6th Annual SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, 10/26
