Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announced today the extension of its celebrated 25th Anniversary Season opening production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies, directed by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin, now playing through November 13, 2011, in CST's Courtyard Theater

The Chicago Shakespeare Theater productions of Follies opens today on Navy Pier. Starring in the Chicago production, directed by Gary Griffin, are Hollis Resnik as Carlotta, Brent Barrett as Benjamin, Caroline O'Connor as Phyllis, Robert Petkoff as Buddy and Susan Moniz as Sally.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Shakespeare Theater has just announced casting for its upcoming production of Follies, which will open October 4 on Navy Pier. Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that due to popular demand, The Old Globe's production of Jane Austen's Emma - A Musical Romantic Comedy will receive a week of additional performances. Created by Tony Award-nominated composer/lyricist Paul Gordon and directed by Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun, Jane Austen's Emma is currently in previews and was originally set to close on Feb. 27.
