Subscriptions are now on sale to the general public for the 2011 season at Westport Country Playhouse, marking its 80th anniversary with a variety of outstanding plays and playwrights.

Award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will join previously announced Kieran Campion, Mia Dillon and Edward Herrmann for a reading of Noel Coward's bittersweet comedy, "A Song at Twilight," part of Westport Country Playhouse's popular Script in Hand Series, on Monday, November 15, 7 p.m.

The upcoming 'Little Fockers' movie, featuring Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and father-in-law Jack (Robert De Niro) has released a new trailer. The film is set to be released on Dec. 22 and will feature Special Tony and Academy award winner Barbra Streisand, Tony and Emmy Award winner Blythe Danner and Tony nominee Dustin Hoffman.

In celebration of the holiday season, Westport Country Playhouse announces six special events, including comedy, concerts, dance and theater, beginning December 4 and continuing on selected days through December 19.

Tony-award winning star Donna McKechnie will join host Ken Kleiber for his 'Kentertainment Report', today, Wednesday October 13 at 12:15pm on Sirius 109/ XM 98. Ms. McKechnie will be speaking about her career and upcoming events, including 'Sondheim Unplugged' and 'My Musical Comedy Life', (both at the Laurie Beecham Theatre with the latter also at the Palais Royale in Indiana), and 'From Broadway With Love', a evening benefitting 'Animal Protection of New Mexico' which also features Kaye Ballard and Liliane Montevecchi.

Critically acclaimed novelist Francine Prose, writer of the recently published Anne Frank: The Book, The Life, The Afterlife, will present an author talk and book signing, on Sunday, September 19, 3 p.m., at Westport Country Playhouse. Prose will speak about her book, followed by an interview with David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director, and a Q&A with the audience.

Concurrent with its autumn production of 'The Diary of Anne Frank,' Westport Country Playhouse is partnering with 16 community organizations to present 'Window onto History: Perspectives on ‘The Diary of Anne Frank.'

Some of Broadway's best and brightest talents will perform in a one-night-only salute to theater and film composer Stephen Schwartz at Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 Annual Gala on Monday, September 13.
