The Falcon Theatre presents the Troubadour Theater Company's A WITHER'S TALE, the first production in its 2010-2011 Subscription Season. The Ovation Award-winning theater company is bringing Shakespeare's somber saga to the stage, serenaded by the soulful songs of Mr. ‘Ain't No Sunshine', Bill Withers. Jealous King Leontes asks Who is He and What is He To You of wife Hermione, who professes, it's Just the Two of Us. But Leontes is convinced, 'They're trying to Use Me Up!' and banishes her, only to realize there Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone. But with the help of Grandma's Hands, he regains his lost Hermione who says Lean On Me, and we'll have a Lovely Day.

A time of radical change in America, with the US at war in Vietnam, patriotism running high & most Blacks with little reason to celebrate, with racism & discrimination everywhere. Dinner at Grandma's is the story of Grandma Gracie Riley & the lasting effect of a group of elder black women in the South as they find the courage to fight for their rights & the rights of their people, as they gather around the 'meeting place,' Grandma's dinner table.

The Seventh Annual Langston Hughes African American Film Festival will end its run April 25. The festival featured a full schedule of events including the Genie Award-winning film, 'Nurse.Fighter.Boy', appearances by filmmakers including Altrick Brown, Ava DuVernay, Charles Officer, and Morgan Stiff, the Seattle Premiere of 'Soundtrack for a Revolution' and 'Mississippi Damned', a Family Friday, and a filmmaking workshop. The film festival is expected to draw over 2,500 people who are passionate about creating and appreciating films for the Black community. The Festival is run by community volunteers under the Direction of Jacqueline Moscou, Langston Hughes' Artistic Director.
