Porchlight Music Theatre and Managing Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the Tony Award©-winning Thomas "Fats" Waller' musical revue, Ain't Misbehavin', February 1 - March 9, 2014, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. This Black History Month presentation with book by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby Jr. and music by Thomas "Fats" Waller and various other composers and lyricists features direction and choreography by Brenda Didier and music direction by Jaret Landon. Previews are Saturday, Feb.1, 2014 at 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 at 2 and 6 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Opening/Press Night is Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The regular run schedule is Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There is an added matinee performance Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $30 for previews and $39 for all other performances. Five world premiere plays and three new adaptations seen first by Chicago audiences received Jeff nominations by the Jeff Awards Committee and are among the 166 nominations in 36 categories announced for Chicago Equity theatrical productions opened between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013.

Audiences will have eight more opportunities to catch Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's summer hit. The cabaret of over 30 songs by songwriter Cole Porter, which had already extended for six weeks beyond its initial eight-week run, will now be extended for two final weeks, closing on Sunday, September 15th. Artistic Director Fred Anzevino announced the extension on Monday, August 12.

SJCChicago LLC announces the Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's production of Smokey Joe's Cafe - The Songs of Leiber and Stoller at the Royal George Cabaret Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted Ave. will close Sunday, July 21 following its 3 p.m. performance.

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's hit cabaret of over 30 songs by songwriter Cole Porter will be extended for an additional six weeks, running the rest of the summer. Artistic Director Fred Anzevino announced the extension on Tuesday, July 2.

I hardly know where to begin with this review of the Bohemian Theatre Ensemble's gutsy, stripped-down and yet somehow epic production of “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” the musical by John Kander, Fred Ebb and Terrence McNally that is running at Theatre Wit through June 30, 2013. There, I guess I just began. I'm a jumble of thoughts and feeling right now. Come to think of it, so are the three principal characters.
