The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the presenter line up for the upcoming 40th Chaplin Award honoring Academy Award-winner Barbra Streisand, on the evening of April 22nd at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. The celebration in honor of the international film legend's groundbreaking career will feature musical performances and film and interview clips culminating in the presentation of The Chaplin Award by President Bill Clinton.

The Laguna Playouse will present Hershey Felder's newest production, award-winning concert pianist Mona Golabek starring in the one-woman show, based on a true story, THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE. Adapted and directed by audience favorite Hershey Felder and based on the book The Children of Willesden Lane by Golabek and Lee Cohen, this music-filled evening recounts the personal story of Ms. Golabek's mother in Nazi-occupied Europe. THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE will perform for two weeks only beginning Wednesday, May 29 through Sunday, June 9 at the Laguna Playhouse, Moulton Theatre, 606 Laguna Canyon Rd. in Laguna Beach.

The March Family is coming to Laguna this April! The beloved classic, LITTLE WOMEN: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, will be presented live on-stage as part of the Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre, beginning Friday, April 5 through Sunday April 14 at the Laguna Playhouse Moulton Theatre, 606 Laguna Canyon Drive in Laguna Beach. LITTLE WOMEN: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy will be directed by Kelly Herman.

Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike opens tonight, March 14, at Broadway's Golden Theatre, on the heels of its sold-out premiere at Lincoln Center. As part of the studio's 90th Anniversary celebration, eight of Warner Bros. Pictures' greatest gangster films - from Edward G. Robinson's 1931 classic Little Caesar to Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning masterpiece The Departed[1] -- will now be available in two Blu-ray sets May 21. Released to coincide with Father's Day gift-giving, the WB genre greats, along with one of Paramount's best gangster films, will be offered in the Ultimate Gangster Collection: Classic and Ultimate Gangster Collection: Contemporary.

The award-winning Musical Theatre Guild, a company of professional performers who present concert-staged readings of seldom seen musicals, will continue its 17th season with the Los Angeles premiere of A CATERED AFFAIR. The opening performance will take place on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale. A second, and final, performance will occur on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Scherr Forum.

In a special donation ceremony, Barry Meyer, chairman of Warner Bros., will add more than 30 objects to the National Museum of American History's entertainment collections. The objects are from 13 Warner Bros. films, spanning 1942 to 2005.

Utilizing specially designed props and some traditional and not so traditional devices for sound effects, the performers will bring to life those days when radio was the dominant form of entertainment. And... to add to the fun, the audience becomes part of the show.

The Picture Show at Bay Street Theatre, sponsored by Peconic Landing, continues with classic films this spring. Please note changes as some film dates were shifted due to adding the St. Patrick's Day Party on March 16 at 8 pm.

Ryan Landry and the Gold Dust Orphans take on Joan Crawford (and Bette Davis) in the noir musical MILDRED FIERCE. Many of his works, including PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, which is now in production at Blank Canvas Theatre, were written specifically as vehicles for Busch and his camp style of acting.
