In its 19th season, the Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will present Tchaikovsky's magical ballet, 'The Nutcracker' featuring professional live orchestra, guest artists and young dancers from more than 17 local communities for two performances only on Saturday, December12 at 7:30 pm, and on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. This year, one of the world's greatest classic tales hits the stage for the first time with THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL, which comes to TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall January 19-24, as part of HCA/TriStar Broadway at TPAC, and in partnership with Bank of America.

Broadway veteran Stephen Collins will appear alongside JoBeth Williams on the December 3rd episode of ABC's 'Private Practice.' The actors will portray the father of actor Kate Walsh's character, Dr. Addison Montgomery. Collins will appear as the husband of actress JoBeth Williams.

Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's production of Twelve Angry Men will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The time slots from 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. are reserved for AEA (Equity) members only, but AEA members may sign up for any time slot. Callbacks will be the morning of Saturday, November 7, 2009; the time will be announced. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Auditioners will be required to read selected sides from the script.

Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, Candy Spelling and The Weinstein Company will present the first-ever Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES this spring at the Broadway Theater (1681 Broadway). Previews will begin on Sunday, March 28th, 2010 with an opening night slated for Sunday, April 25th, 2010. The musical is written by legends Neil Simon (book), Burt Bacharach (music), and Hal David (lyrics). Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes will make his Broadway debut starring in the role of Chuck Baxter opposite Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, returning to Broadway as Fran Kubelik. Tony and Emmy Award winner Rob Ashford will also make his Broadway directorial debut and choreograph. More casting and creative team members will be announced in the near future.

Arena Stage announces full cast for its upcoming production of The Quality of Life, newly rewritten by Emmy Award-winning Jane Anderson (TV's Mad Men and Normal) and directed by Lisa Peterson (Arena's The Rainmaker).

The New York Post's Michael Riedel is reporting this morning that Kristin Chenoweth has been nabbed by producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron for their upcoming Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES. The Post reports that while not yet signed, a deal appears to have been reached for the always-in-demand star to take on the role of Fran Kubelik opposite Sean Hayes as Chuck Baxter.
