Yesterday (5 October), at the launch event in London for Motown the Musical, Cedric Neal (Berry Gordy) and Lucy St. Louis (Diana Ross) were announced to lead the cast in the West End production, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in February 2016.  With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, Motown the Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright.  London previews will begin on 11 February 2016, with press night on 8 March 2016, with the show booking to 22 October 2016.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy are proud to announce that single tickets forMOTOWN THE MUSICAL will go on sale today, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will play at the Saenger Theatre for a limited engagement from Jan. 19 -24, 2016. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the production is part of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2015 - 2016 season.

Motown the Musical, the Broadway show which dramatizes the rise and fall of the record label of the same name, opened yesterday in Toronto at The Princess of Wales Theatre. Though full of hit songs you will recognize, overall the show was underwhelming and lacked enough exposition to hold the audience's attention for almost three hours.

 Historic Motown group The Temptations return to The Orleans Showroom this weekend, Sept. 19 and 20 with members Otis Williams, Bruce Williamson, Terry Weeks, Ron Tyson and Joe Herndon.

IYF Productions presents Boogie Stomp! In Times Square this fall. Written by John Campana and starring pianists extraordinaire, Bob Baldori and Arthur Migliazza, Boogie Stomp! will begin its limited run on September 25 and will open on Friday, October 16 and run through November 28, 2015 at Times Square's Elektra Theatre (300 W 43rd Street, 2nd Floor).

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Broadway Across America announced that tickets to four musicals out of its five-show 2015-2016 Broadway in Miami season will go on sale for the first time today, September 12, 2015, during the Center's ARTSLAUNCH2015. The Public Theater will kick off the 2015-16 season in September with a free Public Works musical adaptation of Homer's THE ODYSSEY, conceived and directed by Public Works Director Lear deBessonet, with music, lyrics and book by Todd Almond. THE ODYSSEY will once again feature over 200 actors and community members alongside five equity actors, including this year Brandon Victor Dixon as Odysseus and Karen Olivo as Penelope.
