Hosted by JERSEY BOYS' Peter Gregus, audiences were treated to an up close look at singers trying out new songs & sharing their stories. Broadway favorites, including three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch as JJ Hunsecker (Hand to God) and Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan as Sidney Falcone (Newsies), will perform staged concert selections from the musical Sweet Smell of Success on May 4 to benefit the American Cancer Society. Titled A Spring Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch, the event will be at the Hudson Theatre (at the Millennium Broadway Hotel) in New York City.

At a ceremony held last night in New York, the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs announced the winners of the 2015 MAC Awards. The show was hosted by Karen Mason, with musical direction by Barry Levitt, and was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts.

On Monday, May 4th, 2015, the American Cancer Society will present A Spring Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch featuring the music of 'Sweet Smell of Success' at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. Proceeds from the Gala and the performance will benefit the critical cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services supported by the American Cancer Society.

The New (Orleans) Musical, Bourbon Street will get an industry reading on Monday, March 9 at 1 pm& 6pm at Chelsea Studios (151 West 26th Street). Bourbon Street has music and lyrics by Greg Michael Pasqua, book by K. Gehrig, and will directed by Jonathan Cerullo with musical direction by John McMahon.

The day is finally here! After one month of voting on preliminary nominees in 17 categories, the results of more than 5,000 ballots were considered along with the selections of BroadwayWorld's cabaret section editors to determine the final nominees for the 2014 BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards. Joining cabaret icon Marilyn Maye with four nominations is budding star Carole J. Bufford, who made the final ballot for two different shows during 2014 and as 'Best Female Vocalist' and 'Performer of the Year.' Among Maye's nominations were 'Performer of the Year,' two shows in the 'Best Celebrity Show' category, and a 'Best Director' nomination for her work with jazz singer Gabrielle Stravelli (who received two nominations). In addition to her usual nod for 'Best Jazz Vocalist,' jazz star Jane Monheit received two other nominations as 'Performer of the Year,' and as 'Best Host' for her new variety show at Birdland, Jane Monheit's Jazz Party (Monheit also co-starred with Clint Holmes in another nominated show, Frank Wildhorn and Friends in the 'Best Revue' category.) Eric Michael Gillett also earned three nominations for 'Best Show, Male,' 'Best Male Vocalist,' and 'Best Director.'

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents an encore benefit performance of "Villain: DeBlanks," a fill-in-the-blanks whodunnit, at 11:30 pm on November 7. The performance will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Written by Billy Mitchell, "Villain: DeBlanks" had a three embarrassingly fun late-night fundraisers this summer. @Shoshanarf tweeted: "Dying of laughter at ?@VDeblanks? at ?@54Below?. Literally can't breathe, it's so funny."
