A major name in contemporary dance gets his first taste of choreographing for musical theatre.

Lyric Opera of Chicago presents a new-to-Chicago production of Romeo and Juliet, Feb. 22-March 19, 2016, helmed by Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Sher-who makes his Lyric debut fresh off directing the four-time Tony Award-winning revival of The King and I at Lincoln Center Theater. Lyric's Romeo and Juliet is presented in conjunction with the Shakespeare 400 Chicago international arts festival, for which Lyric is a partner organization.

The Jewish Channel will ring in 2016 with the latest edition of its popular theater­oriented monthly TV show, ROW J. The show is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton.

With its timeless theme of 'tradition,' FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a musical that speaks anew to every generation -- now the beloved show, which premiered on Broadway in 1964, is back in an acclaimed new production at the Broadway Theatre starring Danny Burstein and Jessica Hecht, directed by Bartlett Sher.

Tony Award-winning Composer Jason Robert Brown (The Bridges of Madison County, Parade) and acclaimed singer Shoshana Bean (Wicked, Hairspray) will perform a special One Night Only concert entitled 'JASON ROBERT BROWN IN CONCERT WITH SHOSHANA BEAN' on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at 8:30pm (Doors at 7:00pm).

The first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY just opened at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre, where it plays through January 17, 2016. During intermission of this past Sunday's matinee, the actor took a firm stance on Twitter to admonish an audience member who was using his iPhone to video record the performance.
