Broadway actress, writer and filmmaker Christine Toy Johnson will perform for one night only at Stage 72 (formerly the Triad) on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 7:00pm as the final artist in Motown The Musical director Charles Randolph-Wright's 'Three Voices' concert series, which has also featured Nita Whitaker and Dodie Pettit.

The world premiere of 'The Goddess,' a modern-day fairy tale about an open marriage, begins a four-week run at the Richmond Shepard Theatre, 309 East 26th Street, tonight, October 10. Joining the cast of five is Michael Kingsbaker, who replaces the previously announced Chris Stack. Written by the husband-and-wife duo of Justine Lambert and Kenneth Nowell, 'The Goddess' also features Tricia Alexandro, Claudia Mason, Larry Mitchell, and Sarah Nedwek. Alice Jankell directs.

Three Day Hangover gets all romantic with R+J: Star-Cross'd Death Match, their next Shakespeare drinking theatrical extravaganza performed in a bar with audience participation and booze. Lori Wolter Hudson directs a cast of ten, including Nick Mills* (The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin, The Steadfast) as Romeo and Suzy Jane Hunt* (Broadway's Dead Accounts, rogerandtom) as Juliet, with Matt Bradley*, Garrett Deagon, Grace Gealey*, David Hudson*, Paul Kite*, Jenna Panther*, Brendan Spieth*, and Titus Tompkins*. Six performances will be staged at Harley's Smokeshack (Midtown), 356 West 44th Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10036 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm from today, September 25-October 4, 2013.

Michael Mendelson plays the lead role of Felix Artifex in Artists Rep's production of MISTAKES WERE MADE. Artistic Director Damaso Rodriguez directs Mendelson and guides the show to opening as the production's Associate Director. Preview performances begin tonight, September 24 and the play will open on September 28.

Artists Rep announces Michael Mendelson will step in to play the lead role of Felix Artifex, as Todd Van Voris must leave the production due to a family emergency. Artistic Director Dámaso Rodriguez will now direct Mendelson and guide the show to opening as the production's Associate Director. Originally slated to begin preview performances next Tuesday, September 17, the run dates for Mistakes Were Made will now be pushed back one week. Preview performances will begin September 24 and the play will open on September 28.

The Beautiful Dark, a world premiere by Erik Gernand and directed by Josh Altman, is extending 1 week to September 8, 2013. The show plays Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30pm; Sundays at 3pm. The Beautiful Dark must close September 8.

Directed by Alice Jankell, this new comedy features a cast of five including Tricia Alexandro, Claudia Mason, Larry Mitchell, Sarah Nedwek and Chris Stack. Produced by the Looking Glass Theatre, now in its 20th season, the four-week engagement plays through Sunday November 3, with an opening set for Sunday October 13 at 3pm.

The Barrow Group's Short Stuff 7, the seventh installation of The Barrow Group's evening of one-act plays, is around the corner. The series celebrates playwrights and actors and highlights The Barrow Group's contemporary, naturalistic aesthetiC. Short Stuff 7 will run on The Barrow Group's Mainstage (312 West 36th Street, floor 3, NY, NY) from today, July 29 through August 18, 2013, every Wednesday-Sunday evening.
