According to Deadline, Corey Cott has joined the cast of FOX'S new series FILTHY RICH. Also announced to be joining the cast are Aubrey Dollar, Benjamin Aguilar and Mark L. Young. The drama-pilot comes from and will be directed by Tate Taylor, known for writing THE HELP. 

La Jolla Playhouse presents THE CAKE, which opened February 6th and runs through March 4th. THE CAKE follows conservative baker Della, whose traditionalist values are put to the test when she is asked to bake the wedding cake for a friend's daughter - who is marrying another woman.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of The Cake, by Bekah Brunstetter (TV's This Is Us), directed by Casey Stangl (Playhouse's The Car Plays), running February 6 - March 4, 2018 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.

Yesterday, The Tony Awards hosted 'Broadway in Hollywood,' a cocktail party to toast the Broadway community in Los Angeles. The night paid tribute to the honorees of past Tony Awards and friends from the Great White Way. Freestyle Digital Media (FDM) and Freestyle Releasing announce today that they have acquired the U.S. theatrical and VOD rights, and set February 6th in time for Valentine's Day as the release date, for ONE SMALL HITCH, the charming romantic comedy that stars Shane McRae (THE HELP, 'The Following'), Aubrey Dollar (FAILURE TO LAUNCH, upcoming 'Battle Creek'), Robert Belushi (DEVIL'S DUE, 'How I Met Your Mother'), Ron Dean (THE FUGITIVE) and Daniel J. Travanti (HILL STREET BLUES). Directed by John Burgess and written by Dode B. Levenson, the film was produced by Burgess and Brett Henenberg and will be available on DVD later in the year, date forthcoming.

Continuing to provide more original programming year-round, CBS announced today March premiere dates for two new dramas, BATTLE CREEK and CSI: CYBER.

The World Premiere of Lucas Kavner's (Fish Eye with Colt Coeur/HERE Arts Center; Love Money at Ars Nova) Carnival Kids, directed by Stephen Brackett and presented by Lesser America, opened at the TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue) on Monday, June 9th. The production, which has already received a New York Times Critics Pick, will run through Saturday, June 28th. TVGuide reports that Aubrey Dollar, Mili Avital and Mike Doyle are set to appear in the new fall ABC drama series 666 PARK AVENUE. The actors will join cast members Vanessa Williams, Terry O'Quinn and Dave Annable on the show.

Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons celebrated its annual Spring Gala yesterday evening, June 11th at the event space 583 Park Avenue. Titled "The Highest Standard", the evening celebrated its five Pulitzer Prize-winning productions and honor the creators of these memorable works for the theater. The honorees were James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George), Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park), Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park with George), Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy), Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles) and Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife). Griffin Matthews, who was seen on the short lived ABC comedy "Cashmere Mafia" has been cast in a new NBC comedy pilot 'The Untitled Hilary Winston Project.' Matthews will co-star as V.J.
