FUN HOME Sets Mobile Lottery Policy for Broadway Run; Previews Begin Tomorrow!

Fun Home, the highly-anticipated, Award-winning American musical that begins previews Friday night, March 27, announced today an exclusive mobile lottery partnership with TodayTix. With music by four-time Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori, a book and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron and direction by Drama Desk nominee Sam Gold, Fun Home officially opens on Broadway at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street), on Sunday, April 19th.

The Old Globe is delighted to welcome one of the true geniuses of the American theatre, Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman, who makes her long-awaited San Diego directing debut with an enchanting theatrical spectacle with live music and sumptuous visuals, The White Snake, continuing the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. The Southern California Premiere of The White Snake, written and directed by Zimmerman, will run now through April 26 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is tonight, March 26 at 8:00 p.m.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced the first two productions of its 2015-2016 season: DADA WOOF PAPA HOT, a new play by Peter Parnell, to be directed by Scott Ellis, beginning performances Thursday, October 15 and opening Monday, November 9 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater; and the LCT3 world premiere production of KILL FLOOR, a new play by Abe Koogler, to be directed by Lila Neugebauer, which will begin performances Saturday, October 3, open on Monday, October 19, and run through Sunday, November 15 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Norway's most celebrated sculptor (Linklater) is commissioned to create the last official portrait of the country's most famous writer, but Henrik Ibsen (Noble) proves to be an irascible, contentious sitter, as the two men wage war over both his legacy and his likeness. With his inimitable wit and insight, Doug Wright explores the nature of artistic success and the fear of being forgotten. In the special interview below, BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge sits down with Wright and Soules to chat about the new play, working together again, and more!
