NAACP IMAGE AWARDS to Air Live on TV One

The 50th NAACP Image Awards will air LIVE on TV One, a division of Urban One, Inc., on March 30, 2019. For the first time ever, the telecast will take place from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California. The announcement was made today by NAACP National Board of Directors Chairman Leon W. Russell, NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, Urban One, Inc. & Chairman/CEO, TV One Alfred Liggins and TV One General Manager Michelle Rice.
Freeform's GROWN-ISH and Scholly Announce $125,000 Student Loan Payoff

To celebrate the second season of “grown-ish,” premiering TONIGHT, JAN. 2 (8:00 p.m. EST), Freeform has teamed with the scholarship app Scholly to announce a student loan payoff of up to $125,000 for current students and graduates with an outstanding loan balance. Acknowledging that student loans have crippled a generation of young Americans and are keeping them from achieving their dreams, the program aims to help student loan borrowers pay off debts that may be holding them back from living their best lives. Thus far, Scholly has helped students win over $100 million dollars in scholarships and aided many in reducing their debt.
Propagate Acquires Electus and Majority Interest in Artists First to Expand Its Global Film and Television Studio

Propagate, one of the world's fastest-growing independent content creation and distribution companies, has acquired Electus, the independent production and distribution company initially founded by Ben Silverman, and a majority interest in powerhouse talent management and production firm Artists First from IAC (NASDAQ: IAC) to expand its full-service global studio. The deal combines Electus' popular content, international sales division and valuable library and Artists First's impressive talent roster and hit shows with Propagate's already robust content creation capabilities and strategic relationships. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Diggy Simmons Returns For GROWN-ISH Season 2

Today, Freeform announced the start of production on season two of hit comedy series “Grown-ish.” Reprising his role as Doug is musical artist, rapper and actor Diggy Simmons in a recurring role for season two, quickly became a fandom favorite for his character's relationship with Jazz Forster. Simmons recently released his latest single “It Is What It Is” and 'Anchors' off of his highly-anticipated sophomore album that will be released later this fall.
