This is the moment! The American Theatre Wing's 71st Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, air live from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS Television Network tonight, honoring theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.

Naturally, New York City and theatre fans across the world are excitedly buzzing about this year's ceremonies, which will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 8/7c on CBS. As always, this Broadway season has some exciting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at least pre-ordering).

Just yesterday, the 2017 Tony nominees and friends gathered for a special evening to celebrate the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre and 2017 Special Award Recipients. BroadwayWorld was on the red carpet for the big night and you can check out photos below!

Two-time Tony nominee Brandon Uranowitz's life in the theatre had humble origins... in the basement of his childhood home. The Falsettos star is one of four actors in his cast (along with Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells and Stephanie J. Block) to earn a nod this season and he couldn't be happier for the recognition. Despite its limited run, last falls incarnation of  FALSETTOS made a wonderful impact on audiences and critics alike due to the cast's amazing performances. One of those cast members happens to be Andrew Rannells, whose performance as Whizzer earned him a Tony nomination for Featured Actor in a Musical.

Yesterday, May 19, Broadway's brightest gathered at the Marriott Marquis Times Square to celebrate this year's Drama League Awards nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. BroadwayWorld caught the last of the red carpet arrivals and even got a sneak peek inside the ceremony in the Broadway Ballroom and the Marriott Marquis.
