New Theatre Company The Phoenix to Present BLUE/ORANGE, 11/1-23

The Phoenix, the new theatre company founded by long-time PICT artistic director and founder Andrew Paul and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre founder and former director of theatre initiatives at the August Wilson Center, Mark Clayton Southers, will debut with a four week run of Joe Penhall's provocative, caustically funny, Olivier Award-winning play Blue/Orange. The production will star acclaimed actors David Whalen, Sam Tsoutsouvas, and newcomer Rico Parker, with direction by Andrew Paul and scenic design by Mark Clayton Southers. Blue/Orange, sponsored by founding Phoenix Board Member and noted arts philanthropist Richard E. Rauh, plays November 1-23, 2013 at the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre, 937 Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.

In the highly anticipated new season, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group are fostering a thriving community in the safe Haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group's home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., 'The Wire'). Check out a new promo below!
Alanna Masterson Joins THE WALKING DEAD

Masteron's role has not been revealed, but the site notes that rumors have arisen that she may take on the role of comic character 'Tara Chalmers.' Masterson's deal includes a recurring role for the fourth season, with an option to be bumped up to a regular in season five.

Cinemax to Air Original British Series STRIKE BACK with Richard Armitage & Andrew Lincoln this Fall

STRIKE BACK: ORIGINS will begin its six-episode premiere run Oct. 25 on CINEMAX, marking the first time the series will be seen in the United States, it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Original Programming. Presented in the UK in 2010 on Sky, the show was acquired by HBO/CINEMAX from BBC Worldwide Sales and Distribution and was produced by Left Bank Pictures and Ingenious Broadcasting. Left Bank Pictures currently produces 'Strike Back' with partners CINEMAX and Sky.
