Pee-Wee Herman May Return To The Small Screen

Film and television icon Pee-Wee Herman (Paul Reubens) brought his signature brand of hilarious mayhem to Broadway for a special limited engagement of the acclaimed stage play, The Pee-Wee Herman Show. The show was filmed Jan. 6 for a HBO Special to air later this year. As reported by zap2it.com, Reubens, who spoke via satellite from New York at the Television Critics Association press tour, told press there's been a lot of interest in a television return for 'Pee-Wee.'

BABY WANTS CANDY, the hilarious improvised musical comedy, will appear at SoHo Playhouse, 15 Vandam Street, from Saturday, January 8 through Saturday, February 26, with press performances on Sunday, January 9 at 8 p.m., Monday, January 10 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 15 at 10 p.m. BABY WANTS CANDY has performed over 1,700 completely improvised musicals to thousands of fans from New York to Singapore to Scotland. The production has just returned from a smash hit engagement at the Assembly at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and is also currently running in Chicago and Los Angeles. A cutting edge theatrical experience, BABY WANTS CANDY features a revolving cast of A-list comedians and performers and a full band.

On Feb. 7, 2011, Ben Crawford, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Lindsay Mendez, Krysta Rodriguez, and more lead a 17-member Broadway cast as composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver releases his first published songbook at Joe's Pub.
