In an unprecedented partnership between leading brands in style, media and events, Penske Media Corporation (PMC), Style Media and IMG Fashion presented the 9th Annual Style Awards on September 5, 2012 Among those honored was actress Katharine McPhee who was presented the 'One to Watch' (Female) award by Joe Zee. McPhee stars in the NBC musical drama 'Smash' and was the winner of Fox's American Idol singing competition.

When Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's moralistic take on traditional European fairy tales, mostly penned by The Brothers Grimm, last hit town in a major production, it was April of 2002. The city was still very much rattled by the events of the past September, but a positive spirit was growing from our observances of acts of heroism surrounding us.

The Public Theater's production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's INTO THE WOODS, part of The Public's 50th Anniversary season at the Delacorte opened last week, August 9th to mixed reveiews from critics. Now according to the New York Times, the show is still 'pursuing a possible Broadway transfer.' Producer Joey Parnes is currently working to bring the show to Broadway in late winter or spring of 2013.

The Shakespeare in the Park production, part of The Public's 50th Anniversary season at the Delacorte, will officially open on Thursday, August 9.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Broadway veteran Paris Remillard has temporarily joined the cast of The Public Theater's INTO THE WOODS as 'Rapunzel's Prince.' Remillard is filling in for Cooper Grodin, who has been out of the show because of appendicitis. A Public Theater representative revealed that Grodin 'will be back very soon.'
