The Kitchen Theatre Company and Civic Ensemble are excited to announce the casting of the world premiere of SLASHES OF LIGHT by Judy Tate. SLASHES OF LIGHT tells the story of an African American girl's coming-of-age in Chicago's South Side during the turbulent 1960s. This production connects Civic Ensemble's focus on community-based work by women and people of color with the Kitchen's two decades of producing bold, intimate work that starts 'important conversations.' Previews are June 11, 12 and 13, opening night is June 14, and the play closes on June 29.

The Treasure House Theater follows up its acclaimed production of The Cherry Orchard last summer with a fresh take on Henrik Ibsen's classic drama HEDDA GABLER translated by Rolf Fjelde. Directed by Daniel Paul, performances begin previews June 5 at ArcLight Theatre with opening set for June 12.

Chiquita Mullins Lee's one-man play Pierce to the Soul will be the second offering by A Portable Theatre (APT), a new professional theatre dedicated to touring. Starring Equity actor Alan Bomar Jones, Pierce is the true story of folk artist Elijah Pierce, an Ohio legend. Touring performances begin tonight, April 12.

Laughter is coming from the stage floor when Bristol Riverside Theatre presents Neil Simon's sidesplitting comedy Laughter on the 23rd Floor today, March 18-April 13. Directed by Keith Baker, the ensemble cast features K.O. Delmarcelle, David Edwards, Bruce Graham, Benjamin Lloyd, Megan McDermott, Jason Silverman, and Carl N. Wallnau.

THE TRAGEDIE OF MACBETH is set to perform August 15 - August 31, 2013 with a preview on August 14, 2013 at Shakespeare Orange County. Directed by Thomas F. Bradac, THE TRAGEDIE OF MACBETH performs in the Festival Amphitheatre in Garden Grove, California.

Primary Stages, in association with Ted Snowdon, launches their 29th season with the New York premiere of Harbor at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Written by Tony-nominated Chad Beguelin (Elf, The Wedding Singer) and directed by Tony-nominated director Mark Lamos (Seascape, The Rivals, The Deep Blue Sea), the production features Erin Cummings (Starz's 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand', ABC's 'Pan Am,' CBS' 'Made In Jersey'), Randy Harrison (Showtime's 'Queer As Folk', Broadway's Wicked), Alexis Molnar (world premiere of Harbor at Westport Playhouse), and Paul Anthony Stewart (Broadway's Fiddler on the Roof, The People in the Picture).
