R. BUCKMINSTER FULLER: THE HISTORY (AND MYSTERY) OF THE UNIVERSE will run October 1-25, 2015 at The Balzer Theater at Herren's (downtown Atlanta), starring Tom Key as R. Buckminster Fuller. Written by D.W. Jacobs with direction by David de Vries, the play is based on the life, work, and writings of R. Buckminster Fuller.

Theatrical Outfit will present A LITTLE PRINCESS, running December 3 - 27, 2015 at The Balzer Theater at Herren's, starring Broadway actress and Atlanta native Emerson Steele.

Pegasus Theatre Chicago is pleased to launch its 2015-16 season with the world premiere drama FOR HER AS A PIANO by Nambi E. Kelley, playwright of the critically acclaimed 2014 hit Native Son, featuring music by Jaret Landon and directed by Producing Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan. Produced in association with Goodman Theatre and Chicago Dramatists, FOR HER AS A PIANO will play September 30 - November 1, 2015 at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Pegasus Theatre Chicago just announced its 2015-16 season, kicking off this fall with the world premiere drama FOR HER AS A PIANO by Nambi E. Kelley, playwright of the critically acclaimed 2014 hit Native Son.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the World Premiere of Bruce Graham's FUNNYMAN, kicking off Northlight's 41st Season. 

 In 1998, Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner became the first actresses ever nominated together for a Best Actress Tony Award, for their performance as the conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton in the original Broadway production of 'Side Show.' Kitchen Theatre Company kicks off its 25th Anniversary Season with a wildly hilarious and delightful one-man show. BUYER & CELLAR by Jonathan Tolins stars KTC veteran and favorite Karl Gregory. It is a campy, outrageous and riotously funny tour de force production, directed by Wendy Dann. Performances run September 6 through September 27, 2015.

Dorset Theatre Festival will stage I Hate Hamlet, a hilarious play by Obie Award winning playwright and pre-eminent humorist Paul Rudnick. The production will be directed by Carl Andress and will run from tonight, August 20th to September 5th.

The Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra extended the audience favorite Delta POPS! season to include 10 performances for the 2015-16 season. Six of the 10 concerts will be led by Principal Delta POPS! Conductor Michael Krajewski.

California Shakespeare Theater today announced the appointment of Eric Ting as the company's new Artistic Director. The announcement, by Cal Shakes Board President Jean Simpson and Search Committee Chair Kate Stechschulte, caps an extensive seven-month nationwide search. Ting will serve as the fifth artistic director in the company's history, succeeding outgoing Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone, who completed his 16-year tenure with the opening of The Mystery of Irma Vep.

To open its 32nd season the Undermain Theatre is thrilled to bring the World Premiere of Meg Miroshnik's The Droll to their home in Deep Ellum at 3200 Main Street.  The premiere will open on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 - curtain time 8:15 with the playwright in attendance. Preview performances will be on Sep. 23rd, 24th and 25th. The production will run through October 17th.

Final casting is today announced for the World Premiere of Pure Imagination, which celebrates the songs of Leslie Bricusse, one of the most prolific and well loved film and musical theatre songwriters of our time.

Among them, the company can claim 18 Tony Awards, 4 Pulitzer Prizes, 6 Pulitzer finalist distinctions, 3 Emmy Awards, and 2 Academy Awards; to list all their honors would take several pages.

A new production of the comic drama God's Man In Texas by David Rambo has been announced as a guest production at The Blank Theatre's 2nd Stage in Hollywood. Directed by Rambo, the engagement will run four weeks only with previews on Thursday, August 13, Friday, August 14, and opening set for tonight, August 15 at 8pm.

One of the capital's most beloved annual traditions, the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) Free For All, and one of William Shakespeare's most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night's Dream, are coming together for a major milestone: Free For All's 25th anniversary. Ethan McSweeny directs a revival of his 2012-2013 STC production, which will run September 1-13 at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).

The WICKED Tour will welcome Jake Boyd as Fiyero, Wendy Worthington as Madame Morrible and Stuart Zagnit as The Wizard beginning Wednesday, August 26 at ASU Gammage in Tempe. 

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the world premiere of BARBECUE, written by Obie Award winner Robert O'Hara. Directed by Kent Gash, BARBECUE begins previews on Tuesday, September 22 and runs through Sunday, November 1, with an official press opening on Thursday, October 8.

Celebrated playwright Eric Coble (Broadway's The Velocity of Autumn) has adapted Gray's principles into a hysterical and inspiring night of theatre called … Men are from Mars -- Woman are from Venus LIVE!  

Rehearsals are underway for the Alliance's upcoming production of the classic 1960s drama, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, by Dale Wasserman and based on the novel by Ken Kesey. The Alliance's production, directed by Susan V. Booth (Blues for an Alabama Sky, The Geller Girls, August: Osage County), will feature some of Atlanta's most talented and well-respected actors in one of the largest ensembles of the 2015/16 season.
