UP Comedy Club (230 W North Ave, 3rd Floor of Piper's Alley) announces the return of #DateMe: An OkCupid Experiment, created by Robyn Lynne Norris and written by Robyn Lynne Norris, Bob Ladewig and Frank Caeti. Previews begin Thursday, February 4 through Sunday, February 21 with performances running through Sunday, May 29.

THE PROM, a hilarious new musical directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Tuck Everlasting, Something Rotten!, The Book of Mormon), will have its world premiere at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre in August 2016.

Squeals of delight and blood-curdling screams of fright will fill the Allen Theatre as Cleveland Play House's (CPH) Centennial Season continues with a humorous and heartfelt production of Little Shop of Horrors. Hearkening back to its very first productions in 1915 that featured sophisticated marionettes, CPH is bringing the cheeky and blood-thirsty plant Audrey II to life in a production that will be every vocal coach's dream - and every hemophobic's worst nightmare!

Arena Stage and the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE) will host the Devise and Conquer Symposium this weekend, January 8-10, 2016, a hands-on symposium to explore a variety of approaches to devising original theater.

CABARET, the musical masterpiece, returns direct from Broadway!

The Alliance Theatre presents the Atlanta premiere of DISGRACED, the provocative Pulitzer Prize-winning and Tony Award-nominated play on culture and identity by Ayad Akhtar. DISGRACED was included in The New York Times Best of 2014 list for theater. As the most produced play in regional theater this season, DISGRACED has received impassioned audience response for its bold exploration of identity, religion, and class in the complex landscape of 21st Century urban America. The Alliance's production will be directed by Artistic Director, Susan V. Booth and runs on the Alliance Stage January 27 - February 14, 2016. Long Wharf Theatre presents, in conjunction with Eva Price, THE LION, written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, directed by Sean Daniels, from tonight, January 6 through February 7, 2016. The play will take place on Stage II. The press opening will take place on January 13, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

The NAACP Beverly Hills/Hollywood Branch's Theatre Viewing Committee announces nominations for the 25th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards. The awards include 32 categories, which encompass local and equity nominations. Winners will be announced in the first quarter of 2016.

Just confirmed today, Broadway is coming to the Blue Ridge! Broadway royalty Terrence Mann (star of Broadway's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, LES MISERABLES, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, CATS, and next season's TUCK EVERLASTING) and Charlotte d'Amboise (star of Broadway's PIPPIN, CHICAGO, SWEET CHARITY, A CHORUS LINE and CONTACT) are coming to Lynchburg, VA, February 1-2, 2016.

I sat down with Merry F*&%ing Christmas' Karen Cassady, who plays the Adorable Orphan. Karen gave us the lowdown on the show, her role as the Adorable Orphan, and what she enjoys most about working with Dad's Garage.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of THE METROMANIACS by supremely clever playwright David Ives (All in the Timing, Time Flies). This uproarious new 'translaptation' of a classic French farce, Alexis Piron's La Metromanie, will be directed by one of America's most renowned stage directors, Michael Kahn, presented in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company.
