Brooke Shields to Star in New Play, GIRLS TALK in Hollywood

Roger Kumble, David Elzer and Molly O'Keefe will present a world premiere play, GIRLS TALK, written and directed by Roger Kumble (turnaround, d girl) and starring Andréa Benewald ('Suddenly Susan'), Leslie Bibb ('Talledega Nights'), Brooke Shields ('Lipstick Jungle'), and Constance Zimmer ('Entourage'). GIRLS TALK will preview on Tuesday, March 15; Wednesday, March 16 & Thursday, March 17 at 8pm and will open on Friday, March 18 at 8pm and run through Sunday, April 24 at the Lee Strasberg Theatre, 7936 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that '30 Rock' star Katrina Bowden, theater favorite Maddie Corman (Next Fall), Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line), lifestyle superstar and restaurateur B. Smith and Daytime Emmy Award-winner Kim Zimmer ('Guiding Light'/'One Life To Live') will join upcoming casts of the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore, now in its second smash year at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).

Nashville favorite Tyson Laemmel stars as Robbie, 'a cheesy, but lovable New Jersey rocker' in Circle Players' upcoming production of The Wedding Singer, the upbeat romantic musical comedy that debuted on Broadway in 2006 and is based on the 1998 Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie. Starring opposite Laemmel is Laura Thomas Sonn as 'a hopelessly romantic waitress.'

HBO will shoot the current Broadway hit 'Colin Quinn Long Story Short' for a special to debut on the network in April, it was announced today by Nancy Geller, senior vice president, HBO Original Programming. Recently extending its run at the Helen Hayes Theatre through March 5, the one-man show features the comedy veteran's take on world history and is directed by Jerry Seinfeld.

It's New Jersey in the 1980s, and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is all the rage on the wedding circuit. That is until his fiancé leaves him at the altar. Cheng/Ferrara Productions presents the hit musical comedy, 'The Wedding Singer,' at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Fridays Feb. 11 and 18 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Feb. 12 and 19 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, Feb. 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on Feb. 11.
Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann Get 'Knocked Up' in New Comedy

According to Variety, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann will reprise their Knocked Up roles for a new comedy that remains untitled. Director Judd Aptow will bring their characters, 'Debbie and Pete' back to the big screen. The film is scheduled to open in theatres in summer 2012.
