Perfect Pitch Musicals and South Hill Park have announced the world premiere production of new musical FROM UP HERE, which will play four performances from Wednesday 13 - Friday 15 June 2012 at South Hill Park Arts Centre, featuring a West End cast including Leila Benn Harris, Tommy Sherlock, Russell Walker, Lisa Kerr and Tony Kemp. From Up Here has music and lyrics by Aaron Lee Lambert, and will be directed by Luke Sheppard with musical direction by Tom Attwood. It will also be streamed live via WhatsOnStage.com on Thursday 14 June at 7.30pm.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday June 1, 2, and 3rd, JRG Masterclasses will be presenting a weekend-long masterclass series focusing on music and theatre. This 5 session weekend will cover the gamut from audition technique, to acting through song, to musicality, choreography, and vocal styles.

Tony Award winner Cady Huffman will play the roles of Ms. Pratt, Clarissa and Mrs. Bamberg in Prospect Theater Company's upcoming new production of Cole Porter's NYMPH ERRANT, featuring the original 1933 Porter score and a revised book by Rob Urbinati. Performances begin July 7 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row.

York Theatre Company presents the 8th Annual NEO 8 tonight, May 21 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a champagne and dessert reception to toast the evening.

The legendary stage musical CARRIE will soon be available for licensing from R&H Theatricals, and its score will be published by Imagem Music, each a division of the Imagem Music Group. Based on Stephen King's best-selling novel, CARRIE features music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose), and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film).

BoHo Theatre brings its 2011/2012 season to a close with Floyd Collins by Adam Guettel, composer/lyricist of The Light In The Piazza, and Steppenwolf Ensemble-member Tina Landau.

According to published reports, NBC has picked up medical drama, 'Do Not Harm,' which will star stage veterans Steven Pasquale and Michael Esper. Michael Mayer directs the pilot episode, which is written by executive producer David Schulner. Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan also produce.

David Saint took time out of his busy schedule to speak with BWW about the current National tour of West Side Story as well as to remember his close friend and trusted mentor, famed librettist, director and screenwriter Arthur Laurents, who passed away a year ago at the age of 93.
