Playwright and noted  social justice warrior and one of the original members of Ralph Nader's first legal advocacy group in Washington, Samuel A. Simon, has announced that his hit show about transformative love, The Actual Dance, will return to APAP 2023 (taking place at The Midtown Hilton Hotel, 1335 Avenue of the Americas) this January, as the annual conference resumes in-person performances for the first time in over three years. 

The Marsh brings people from all walks of life to share their deeply personal journeys in the MarshStream Solo Arts Heal series. This Wednesday series, which features performance excerpts, talkbacks, and Q&A with Dr. Annie Brewster and Caroline Wright (Jan. 20), Hope Singsen (Jan. 27), and Samuel A. Simon (Feb. 3), will be hosted by Gail Schickele.

The Marsh announces the line-up for its first-ever digital global festival, MarshStream International Solo Fest, presenting performers aged 16 to 79 from across the nation and around the world, including Russia, Scotland, Israel, Canada, and Australia, as well as some of The Marsh's fan-favorites in a four day online marathon of 51 global works.

Today seven-piece art rock ensemble Ecce Shnak announces their debut, full-length album Metamorphejawns, for a July 19 release via Records, Man Records, sharing new track 'Liberty Bell Forever Stamp.' 

Actor/Playwright  Samuel A. Simon takes us on a journey through battles of cancer through his uplifting piece THE ACTUAL DANCE. The story comes from  Samuel's point of view as he, and his wonderful wife Susan, travelled through her battle with Breast Cancer. Showing the audience, that what really matters, come hell or high water, is that we continue to love.

Hungry March Band has been performing for over twenty years and is a potpourri of genuine musical talent. The downtown NYC institution has gained a cult following and garner critical accolades, including Time Out NYC which described them as, “NYC's finest guerrilla ambulatory music ensemble.” The band wields many styles, referencing dub, rock, ska, metal, and various Latin traditions; all the while maintaining a punk heart and creating their own flamboyant sound. It has been over a decade since their last album and this year they set out to release their fifth full length studio album, Running Through with the Sadness on June 1st, both digitally and on vinyl, with Imaginator Records.

Starz today announced the premium cable network is entering the documentary format with its on-going acquisitions of new documentaries to air monthly beginning this fall.
