Bay Area Musicals!, the newest non-profit theatrical organization to join the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area arts community, closes out its second season with the heart-warming Broadway hit musical, Seussical The Musical. This imaginative and magical tale centers around the beloved characters from the world of Dr. Seuss. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many 'thinks.'

Bold, original, disturbing, and alarmingly funny, Assassins is perhaps the most controversial musical ever written, making a great show for Bay Area Muscials' second season.

This year we celebrate the 15th anniversary of everyone's favorite mall elf, Crumpet, in The Santaland Diaries by David Sedaris, adapted to the stage by Joe Mantello.  The very talented Zac Schuman (Avenue Q) and A.J. Roy are back again sharing the iconic role over the course of this limited run. So come see the show that has become the cult classic of the 'anti-holiday tradition' for San Francisco's audiences, come escape the craziness of the holidays with Combined Artform at the Eureka Theatre.

This December, NCTC brings the holiday cheer with everyone's favorite foul-mouthed, feel-good musical: the return of NCTC's award-winning production of Avenue Q, with music, lyrics and original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marxand book by Jeff Whitty. Proclaimed by San Francisco Travel Magazine as "a local tradition," this "year-in, year-out hilarious, high-energy, and heart-warming production" (Theatre Eddys) won over critics and audiences alike in its previous engagements in NCTC's intimate Decker Theatre. New Conservatory Theatre Center crowns its 2015-16 season with the West Coast premiere of a whimsical reimagining of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, the classic American musical featuring music by Burton Lane, lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, and a new book by Peter Parnell, based on the original book by Lerner. This mesmerizing and enchanting new look at the classic musical is just your typical musical comedy - about hypnosis, a gay florist with commitment issues, a love triangle with a therapist, and past life as a 1940s chanteuse.

Berkeley Playhouse at the historic Julia Morgan Theater continues their seventh season with You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown directed and choreographed by Christina Lazo (Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show with Altarena Playhouse; All Shook Up, West Side Story with Tri Valley Repertory Theatre; A Chorus Line, Catch Me If You Can with Woodminster; and Bye Bye Birdie with Contra Costa Musical Theatre). Previews begin tonight, February 19, and runs from tonight, February 21 to March 15, 2015 at the Julia Morgan Theater, 2640 College Ave. in Berkeley.
