Patrice Tipoki, who played Satine in the Australian production of Moulin Rouge! the Musical, recently took the stage to perform 'Firework' before the Australian Open 2024 Men's Final at Rod Laver Arena. Check out the video here!

Cameron Mackintosh's production of Boublil & Schonberg's legendary musical LES MISERABLES is now in its record breaking 32nd year and Cameron Mackintosh is delighted to announce Australia's Simon Gleeson and Hayden Tee will be reunited on stage as Jean Valjean and Javert at the Queen's Theatre.

Cameron Mackintosh's production of Boublil & Schonberg's legendary musical LES MISERABLES will have its Middle East premiere at Dubai Opera, situated in the heart of Downtown Dubai on 15 November 2016. '23 years later to my amazement and pride, it has become the world's longest running musical, I tell you why --- because we are getting older, but it looks like the show is never aging. It is kind of getting younger' Alain Boublil says, lightening up the mood before the preview opened with a rousing performance of the LES MISERABLES anthems THE BARRICADE, followed by ON MY OWN, BRING HIM HOME, and ONE DAY MORE. 'Because all the people playing the show now were not even born when Claude Michel and I were writing it!' Boublil says in deadpan humor, much to the amusement of the Singaporean press.

Simon Gleeson has always been very vocal about how he grew up to the music and the stirring plot of LES MISERABLES. Now as the lead actor in one of the most acclaimed touring productions of the Alain Boublil and Claude Michel Schonberg legendary musical, his primal recollections of the show still remain deeply rooted in him, just as his portrayal of Valjean is most assuredly deeply emblazoned onto the subconsciousness of audiences who have had the privilege to see him in this musical theater role of a lifetime.

'Adrian Pang is wonderful to work with, such an instinctive actor! It was so much fun to play off him, I just love him! I hope we get to work together again soon,' says Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, who along with Lea Salonga, make up the first three internationally acclaimed Filipina actresses - the third being Joanna Ampil - to have ever played Fantine in Alain Boublil and Claude Michel Schonberg's LES MISERABLES , playing at The Esplanade beginning May 31 onwards.

The original London production of Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil's musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic novel LES MISERABLES (LES MIS), which was Messrs Schonberg and Boublil's first collaboration with theater producer Cameron Mackintosh, opened to very mixed reviews from the critics in 1985. But 'LES MIS has always been big for criticism,' says Meghan Lewit for The Atlantic. 'Bombast? Bathos? That's the point. The original production [which remains intact and continues to play at the Queen's Theatre in London until today] has endured because it gave audiences exactly what they wanted.'
