After a couple of years of staying at home and catching up on all the boxsets and films you never got round to watching, it appears the West End has had a similar idea; Saturday Night Fever is the latest movie-based musical to hit the stage, joining the likes of Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, Pretty Woman, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Following a short tour, the Bee Gees & John Travolta classic hits the West End for a limited run.

London is never short of temptations, whether splashy West End shows, engrossing dramas or bold fringe offerings. Bill Kenwright's production of Saturday Night Fever will have its West End Premiere for a strictly limited 8-week run at the Peacock Theatre, starting 4 February – 26 March.  This will be preceded by a short UK tour, opening at the New Theatre Oxford on 5 January, and traveling to Truro, Darlington and Manchester

The UK premiere of Alfred Hitchcock's supreme comedy of suspense North by Northwest, adapted by Carolyn Burns and directed by Simon Phillips, has just revealed a first look at the cast in action. Following its world premiere in Melbourne, the new stage adaptation of Hitchcock's film will run at Theatre Royal Bath until 12 August, with opening night for press on Monday 31 July. Rehearsals are underway for the UK premiere of Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest, directed bySimon Phillips as part of Artistic Director Jonathan Church's inaugural Summer Season of five plays for Theatre Royal Bath which runs from Friday 21 July - Saturday 12 August with opening night onMonday 31 July.

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces that Scarlett Strallen (Amalia Balash) will be joined by Alastair Brookshaw (Ladislav Sipos), Les Dennis (Mr Maraczek), Callum Howells (Arpad Laszlo), Katherine Kingsley(Ilona Ritter), Dominic Tighe (Steven Kodaly) and Mark Umbers (Georg Nowack), with Rachel Bingham, Peter Dukes, Luke Fetherston, Olivia Fines, Aimee Hodnett, Sarah-Marie Maxwell and Vincent Pirillo for the company's major revival of She Loves Me this Christmas. The production reunites Strallen with director Matthew White, following their previous collaboration at the Menier on Candide. The production opens on 7 December, with previews from 25 November, and runs until 5 March 2017. Full casting will be announced shortly.

The West End production of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN will have its final performance at the Palace Theatre on Saturday 8 June 2013 ahead of an extensive UK tour. The production will open at Manchester's Opera House on Wednesday 13 November and move to Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre for a Christmas and New Year season.
