Lucy Breedlove is a stage and screen actress from the Washington, DC area. She is most known for Arena Stage's "Watch on the Rhine," where she made her equity theatre debut as Babette Muller. This production also starred two-time Golden Globe winner, Masha Mason, as well as numerous stars from Broadway. Lucy continued to pursue her love of performance and was selected twice as a national finalist for Michael Feinstein's Great American Songbook Academy, and is now a student at Otterbein University where she studies Musical Theatre.

Lillian Hellman's 1941 play WATCH ON THE RHINE isn't often produced, but it's certainly a relevant one in today's troubling times. As directed in the round by Jackie Maxwell at Arena Stage, it's probably one of the best examples of a scintillating, well-written script being brought to the stage by a uniformly excellent cast. The end result is a must-see production for the serious theatergoer.
Arena Stage announces full casting for Lillian Hellman's Watch on the Rhine, winner of the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play. Four-time Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Marsha Mason, known for her performances in the films Cinderella Liberty, The Goodbye Girl, Chapter Two and Only When I Laugh, stars as Fanny Farrelly under esteemed director Jackie Maxwell, former artistic director of Canada's Shaw Festival. Set in Washington, D.C. on the brink of U.S. involvement in World War II, Hellman's suspenseful drama was hailed by the Chicago Tribune as "dramatically gripping and genuinely moving." Watch on the Rhine runs February 3-March 5, 2017 in the Fichandler Stage.
