The comedy will be performed at The Frontier, 1106 W. Thorndale Ave., Chicago from October 24 - November 18, 2018, with a press opening on Monday, October 29. Audiences will be swept away by the life-changing, four-day love affair in the lush musical 'The Bridges of Madison County' at Peninsula Players Theatre July 26 through August 13, 2017.   One of the most romantic stories ever written, 'The Bridges of Madison County' first captured the nation's attention in 1992 as a best-selling novel, then again in 1995 as a major motion picture.  It is now an irresistible, two-time Tony Award-winning musical.

In the seventh presentation of the popular Rep Lab, the short-play festival features the company's Emerging Professional Residents (EPR) in acting, directing and technical theater to showcase their talent. This year, nine one act play along with a devised play written by the Emerging Professionals appeared in the Stiemke Studio for an intriguing evening of theater. Eight actors, seven directors, and four designers comprise the EPR team. In an interesting mix of plays, many examine the angst in relationships: communal, personal and professional within a wide time frame that also embodies considerable emotional range

At Peninsula Players (PPT) in August 2016, everything which is necessary, the whole shebang, appears on stage in their marvelous production of The Full Monty. Ever since the 1997 British version heralded this cult classic term, these words have transformed in meaning to mean, 'full nudity.' Which is exactly the meaning Terrence McNally, (book), and David Yazbek (lyrics and music) displayed in their 2000 adaptation musical production reset in Buffalo, New York and applies to six unemployed steel workers. Or named in an alternate title completely reality, 21st century: Desperate Men, Desperate Moves, Desperate Mania.

The mix of plays include a late-in-life romance, an intriguing whodunit, a raucous pop-rock musical, an engaging Midwest premiere and a wildly comic thriller.

'Life is too important to be taken seriously,' quoted Oscar Wilde, the famous and infamous author who wrote the ever popular 'The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People' in 1895. In Tandem provides an endearing musical version of Wilde's play from an original 1960 production Ernest in Love by collaborating with Milwaukee Opera Theatre. In an adaptation written by Anne Croswell with music composed by Lee Pockriss, the performance had been revived in the early 2000's. on Broadway Director Jane Flieller hits all the right notes with touching humor when she assembled an accomplished, elegant cast to revive Wilde's clever romantic tale of social class and turn of the 20th century society.

Roxey Ballet presents its 21st annual holiday extravaganza: Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Showcasing an international cast comprised of more than 150 professional, pre-professional and local dancers and actors, this year's performances take place November 28-29 and December 5-7 at The College of New Jersey's Kendall Hall.

Stage Door Theatre Company discovers a 'fine way to treat a Steinway,' Words the illustrious and prolific composer Irving Berlin wrote in his song 'I Love a Piano.' Third Avenue Playhouse presents a musical revue concieved by James Valcq based on Berlin's early career using this as the title, and the evening celebrates everything about the piano the composer treasured.
