Stillpointe is celebrating our Spooktacular 13th season, and I wanted to reach out and personally invite you to come and enjoy a haunting evening where stories become real as you follow Edgar Allen Poe through his life and loves.

Summer is here at last and there is no better time to have fun in the sun with a new read! You're in luck, because this year, Broadway's best have put pen to paper to turn out theatre page-turners of every kind.

Creative Cauldron opens its 2018-2019 season with Nevermore, the hauntingly beautiful musical written by resident composer and director, Matt Conner and writer, Grace Barnes. Nevermore draws from the poetry and short stories of the iconic Edgar Allan Poe. After its premiere at Signature Theatre in 2006, The Washington Post hailed Nevermore for its 'romantic music, ablaze with feeling.' Following its 2011 run at Creative Cauldron, Nevermore earned Creative Cauldron its first Helen Hayes Award recommendation. This imaginative musical delves deep into Poe's psyche and explores his gripping obsession with the pivotal women who seemingly haunt his tortured existence. The production will run through October 28 at Creative Cauldron, Falls Church, 410 South Maple Avenue. Performances are Thursdays at 8:00PM, Fridays at 8:00PM, Saturdays at 8:00PM, and Sundays at 2:00PM & 7:00PM. 

The 2018-19 Season marks Creative Cauldron's tenth year producing and presenting live theater and music. This season includes a diverse range of programming for adults and families alike. Highlighting the season will be a world premiere musical, On Air, written by internationally produced duo Stephen Gregory Smith and Matt Conner. On Air is the final installment of Creative Cauldron's five-year "Bold New Works for Intimate Stages" initiative.

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents a fall foray into the macabre with the musical Nevermore. With music by Matt Connor, book by Grace Barnes, and lyrics adapted from Edgar Allan Poe, Nevermore runs October 20 - November 6. Nevermore is directed by Christopher Ostrom and features Leigh Barrett, Cynthia Harrington, Amie Lytle, Madison Mayer, Ethan Paulini, and Anne Stott, with Music Director & Pianist John Thomas.

The 2016 Baxter Dance Festival opens in Cape Town this October, with the 40th anniversary revival of Alfred Hinkel's acclaimed BOLERO and John Linden's PROS AND CONS OF HITCHHIKING, in a programme that showcases 65 works over 10 days.

Modern conveniences like smart phones and GPS often make us forget that the journey of life is full of the unexpected. For its 2016 theater season, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater celebrates these unexpected moments: the realization of first love; a town bonded by a bullied teenager; a family finding common ground through music; the censorship of a fictional marriage between two rabbits; the beauty behind the darkness of Edgar Allan Poe; love lost then found again.

Darlinghurst Theatre Company's inaugural season in the iconic Eternity Playhouse has enjoyed wide critical acclaim. The 2015 program, announced today, promises a dynamic season full of inspiration, passion and life and will showcase an Australian premiere and three Sydney premieres.

This season, Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of the new musical CROSSING with a book by Grace Barnes, music and lyrics by Matt Conner, with Barnes also contributing additional lyrics. Music Theatre of Madison's performance of Edgar Allan Poe's Nevermore leaves audiences thrilled, haunted.

According to the Washington Post, Signature Theatre's 2013-14 season will include three world premiere musicals, one world-premiere play, a developmental run of a world-premiere musical, and revivals of Miss Saigon, Gypsy and The Threepenny Opera. Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer will be directing all four of the new musicals, as well as Miss Saigon.

Matt Conner shows promise as a composer and I look forward to seeing what will become of 'Crossing' in the future.

Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents Edgar Allan Poe's “Nevermore' with music by Matt Connor and book by Grace Barnes. The production runs from March 23-25, in Stage III, Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. only on Sunday.
