Wagner College Theatre has announced that the winner of the 2023 Stanley Drama Award is Jami Brandli for her play The Magician's Sister.

Merciful Delusions Productions is announcing the November 2022 presentation of four one-act plays by Tennessee Williams at Theatre Row in Manhattan. The rarely produced works by one of America's most beloved playwrights are Moony's Kid Don't Cry, The Lady of Larkspur Lotion, The Case of the Crushed Petunias and Hello from Bertha.

The Black Box New Play Festival is Gallery Players' signature festival of new works by both new and established playwrights, featuring world premieres of new comedies and dramas. Now in its 23rd year, the festival will premiere 18 new plays over the course of three weekends. The festival opens Thursday, January 9 and runs through January 26, with a new collection of plays presented each week. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30PM, and Sundays at 3PM. There will be a talk back with the playwrights directly after the Sunday matinees.

In this adapted version of the 1938 detective novel of the same name, Christie created an entirely new ending. Featuring a group of travelers who find themselves thrown together on a Middle Eastern expedition, the 'Queen of Crime' offers a unique take on the classic murder mystery, where characters' motivations are suspect and relationships may not be what they seem. First performed at the Piccadilly Theatre in London on March 31, 1945, APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH remains fresh and exciting today.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces Writer-Director Communications Lab on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10am-6pm at Studios 353, 353 W. 48th Street, Studio B (basement). Registration is $75 for TRU members ($85 for non-members), $30 for an additional collaborator (writer), and registration for TRU Member observers is $30 ($40 for non-members). Tickets are now on sale for the Caravan Theatre Company's New York Premiere of MARLOWE'S FATE, an original play written and directed by Peter B. Hodges about two innocent men struggling to survive in an Elizabethan Age of Machiavellian spies, slapstick puppets and an outrageous avalanche of unintended consequences. The production is the second part of BATTLE OF THE BARDS: THE CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE FESTIVAL, a six week festival that features two original plays about William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe and the stories behind the greatest literary deception of all time. MARLOWE'S FATE will run May 10th - May 26th in the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The official opening will be on Thursday, May 17.

The Heights Players of Brooklyn open their latest production tonight with 'A Man For All Seasons' by Robert Bolt, Directed by Elizabeth Bove. The historical drama marks their fourth production of this, their 62nd season. The play will be performed at the John Bourne Theatre.
