Neil Simon’s classic comedy opens as a group of the guys are in the midst of their weekly poker game in the apartment of divorced sportswriter, Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. The apartment is smoke-filled, and the only thing Oscar can offer his guests is warm Coke and moldy sandwiches. The last to arrive is Felix Ungar, who has just been thrown out by his wife. Felix is depressed and seems suicidal, leading Oscar to invite Felix to be his roommate. However, as Felix takes on the domestic mantle in the apartment and proves just how difficult he is to live with, Oscar is driven to the edge of madness. Poker nights are no longer evenings of smoke, grubbiness, and blokey behavior; instead, the guys are waited on hand and foot by Felix. The final straw occurs when Felix refuses to follow through with a double-date Oscar has set up with the beautiful Pigeon sisters, who live in the same apartment block. The clean freak and the slob come to blows, and the ultimate ‘Odd Couple’ go their separate ways. Prescott Center for the Arts has announced the reopening of the Cabaret Theater April 8, with the first performance of RED. Written by John Logan, Directed by Don Langford with Bruce Thompson as the lead actor, RED is raw and provocative, a searing portrait of an artist's ambition and vulnerability as he tries to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting.

Seven wealthy men are sitting together in a Steam Bath at the Willow Creek Country Club after a round of golf, when they start complaining about their lives: Their jobs, their companies, their homes, their wives a?" nothing is right. When, one of them says: a?oeWe could all just disappear.a?? Why not? They've paid their dues. They have the means, and, as crazy as it sounds, these men do it. They decide to just bail out. To leave. Navy Pier is spotlighting Chicago's emerging young artists at its first-ever Fresh Fest! Presented by Allstate Insurance Company, a free, two-day event featured as part of the city's Year of Creative Youth initiative. The Pier has teamed up with Good Starts Young to produce the programs on Thursday, July 12 and Friday, July 13, which showcase some of Chicago's most talented youth. Guests in attendance will be treated to a wide range of dance and music acts in a variety of styles and genres, including blues, classical rock, jazz and more.

Thorton Wilder's Our Town tells the story of the everyday lives of the citizens of a fictional American small town of Grover's Corners through three acts: "Daily Life," "Love and Marriage," and "Death and Eternity." Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, this show is uniquely suited for our King Avenue sanctuary.  You won't want to miss this telling of Our Town, during its 80th anniversary of its Broadway opening.  Performances run March 8, 9, 10 at 7:30 pm and March 11 at 3:00pm. All performances are at King Avenue United Methodist Church, 299 King Ave., Columbus, OH. Childcare is available during the Friday evening and Sunday matinee performances. Admission is free, but a $10 donation is encouraged.

This weekend, Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN played host to Hampton Roads' supporters of the arts with THE MAIN Event: A Weekend Celebration for the Arts presented by TowneBank.  Starting with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and followed with a full schedule of visual and performing art experiences throughout the weekend, including Saturday Headliner Kelli O'Hara, The Main Event closed out the weekend with an oversized check presentation to the Business Consortium for Arts Support in the amount of $581,000.
