Allison Threadgold BIO

Born in New York City, the daughter of a French mother and British father, Allison is a trilingual, nurturing brunette with a dark side. A graduate of Atlantic Theater’s Conservatory in New York, she moved to Los Angeles to study with Clark Gregg and Daivd Mamet among other acting coaches and casting directors. While in LA she produced and starred in the award winning webseries, The Majestic Theater Co..

Following Los Angeles, Allison, moved north to Santa Barbara for a brief spell; filming two shorts, and performing in several local plays. While in Santa Barbara Allison developed and launched, the now bi-coastal, Stripped Scripts, a series of new works done as cold readings in front of a live audience. Allison is now based in New York City where she has been working on a variety of projects, both commercial and theatrical.

Her passion for acting hails back to her stage debut in Connaught House’s third form play. Swaying in the breeze as ‘The Tree,’ brown tights and a green turtle neck stapled with leaves - there was no question- this was the life! Allison has been expanding her credits since those days to include a wide variety of human characters, including Vickie in Noises Off, the lead in an original short film Seconds, roles in horror movies, 1940's pieces and commercials.

When not in front of the lights, Allison has dabbled in producing and directing. Last fall she produced and starred in, the NYC premiere of Tomorrow in the Battle by Kieron Barry. Her company, Stripped Scripts® is currently in pre production for Stupid F##king Bird by Aaro Posner. She also enjoys exploring anywhere she’s never been, leading volunteer trips to orphanages, and cooking her own twists on classic dishes. All hobbies which weave their way into the characters she takes on and the adventures she seeks out.

Fusion Theatre to Merge Opera and Theatre with Anouilh's ANTIGONE

French playwright Jean Anouilh wrote his 'Antigone' during the Nazi occupation of France. It became a symbol of resistance as freedom fighters viewed the heroine's defiance as a crie de coeur of patriotism. The play, written with a modern sensibility, is based on the Greek tragedy of the princess who dies for burying her brother's corpse against the orders of her dictator uncle. Its parallels to modern times are exciting and provocative.
