Irish émigré and rising star playwright Seanie Sugrue is alive and well with a night of three one-acts: LOVE IS DEAD!

Seanie Sugrue, founder of Locked In the Attic Productions, is on a winning streak:

His play, ONE WAY TO PLUTO!, concluded a sold-out run at the 13th Street Repertory Theater, is now registered with the New York Innovative Theatre Awards and is eligible for multiple awards;

His screenplay, "catch 22: based on the unwritten story by seanie sugrue" is now a new film from NYEH Entertainment and premiered at the Palm Beach Film Festival;

Now his set of three one acts, LOVE IS DEAD!, will open at 13th Street for a run starting June 1. Performance Schedule: June 1 & 2; 6 - 9; 13 & 14 at 8pm. Special Matinee: June 5 at 3pm.

LOVE IS DEAD! is a paralytic presentation of murder, deceit and sexism. This series of stories attempt to prove whether its title holds true, that Love Is Dead!

Act 1: The Apple and the Tree! drags through the meager life of Trevor. A young man burdened with the seemingly impossible task of convincing his relations that he has been raped, by two women.

Act 2: Two Minute Kenneth! follows a seemingly incompatible couple through the rapid escalation of the imminent melancholy that is, a modern day relationship.

Act 3: My Goldfish Loves Me but I Hate Your Guts! ambles recklessly through a sinuous account of the life and misery of Maggie, an unhinged prostitute looking for retribution.

Sugrue's own experiences as a "stranger in a strange land" is the foundation for much of his work. He is creating a series of 12 plays in a style he calls PUNK! Theater. One Way To Pluto! and two previous successes, Fade to Black! and Black Me Out!, are part of that saga. Each understandable as a standalone piece, but together they will weave a saga that will depict the dysfunctional world in which we live.

WARNING: LOVE IS DEAD! DEALS IN MATURE SUBJECT MATTER AND CONTAINS SEXUAL CONTENT, STRONG LANGUAGE, AND GRAPHIC VIOLENCE.
