With a fresh cast of pre-teen to young adult actors, Bennett seeks to answer the question: Who is doing the typecasting, Hollywood or ourselves?

When Oprah Winfrey repeatedly "steals" the delusional Odella Williams' show ideas, Williams devises a plan that will top Winfrey and claim her throne as talk show queen. Williams invites a group of of A-list celebrities to her show with the intention of exposing aspects of their personal lives to the public. The expose is meant to generate off-the-charts ratings but as the play unfolds, it becomes obvious that these dysfunctional celebrities only represent how the media's typecasting can seep into our everyday lives.

Bennett was inspired by the powerful influence of popular culture and added a healthy dose of humor to bring her characters to life. "I always choose comedy because social issues are always easier for an audience to swallow when laughter is involved," says Bennett.

The show's colorful characters each represent a different aspect of the media's influence on our self-perceptions.

Also a Singer, Pianist and founder of the Bennett Academy of the Performing Arts, Bennett produces The Odella Williams show under own Production Company Polifonic Entertainment.

The Odella Williams show opens on November 27th, 2009 at the American Theater of Actors Sargent Theater at 314 West 54th Street, NY, NY. The schedule is November 27th at 8pm, and November 28th at 4pm and 8pm, November 29th at 4pm and 8pm. Tickets are available at www.polifonicentertainment.com.
