The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Music and Lyrics by William Finn, Book by Rachel Sheinkin, Conceived by Rebecca Feldman, with additional material by Jay Reiss

Directed by Eric C. Stein, Musical Direction by Stephen M. Deininger, Choreography by Angela Stein

Audition Dates:
Sunday, July 14th at 6:00 pm
Monday, July 15th at 7:00 pm

Callbacks (if needed) will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at 7:00 pm

Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will begin at the end of August and will be held four to five times a week in some combination of Sunday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Production Dates:
October 18th through November 17th with a Thursday performance on November 14th
Thursday/Friday/Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Audition Information:
All roles are non-equity, non-paid. Headshots & resumes are not required, but are gladly accepted. No audition appointments are necessary.

Auditioners are asked to prepare the following: Two selections of 16–32 bars of music, one for your audition piece and one for a back-up in case more is needed. It is preferred that auditioners bring sheet music and be prepared to sing with an accompanist. If needed, a CD player will be available. Please bring vocal selections that showcase your range and personality. You may also be asked to sing a piece from the show, so please familiarize yourself with the music. No monologues are necessary. Readings will be done from the script. Video auditions will not be accepted.
