Wear comfortable clothing and shoes; no resume or prepared pieces required
Performance dates: June 6 – 8, 2014 (Fri/Sat 8:00pm, Sun 2:00pm)
John, Katherine, and Mark struggle to come to terms with the death of their father, and to try to make sense of a kind, selfless man choosing to destroy himself with alcohol… until a surprise phone call sheds new light on his experiences in World War II.
Caution: Contains profanity.
Cast size is at least 7 men and 2 women:
JOHN, KATHERINE, and MARK, age 40s-50s – Children of “Big John”
BRENDA STEWART, age 40s-50s – Daughter of World War II co-pilot
THE COMIC, age 40s (flexible) – a semi-narrator who interacts with the audience
CHORUS, flexible size and age (at minimum, four men in their 20s-30s) – supporting roles including a Chaplain and mourners, a Mortician, an Army Colonel, a cop, a hospice worker, and a Flying Fortress bomber crew
At Surfside Players, Cocoa Beach, Brevard County.
Take Highway A1A, then west on Fifth Street South.
Playhouse is at the end of the street.
