ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW - Surfside Players

Surfside Players announces our Eleventh Annual

ROCKY HORROR

PICTURE SHOW

Let's do the Time Warp Again! Surfside ushers in the Halloween season with the notorious rock-and-roll musical tribute to 1950s sci-fi/horror B-movies, back for its ELEVENTH straight year. Your enjoyment of this delightfully skewed movie will be amplified by a shadow cast of highly trained, costumed hecklers guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, AND... fulfill you.

Auditions for the shadow cast of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW will be held on Sunday September 30th at 7:00pm, at Surfside's playhouse (take Highway A1A to South Fifth Street, Cocoa Beach). This will primarily be a dance audition, so dress appropriately.

All auditioners will be asked to lip-sync/pantomime to a section of Madonna’s “Like a Virgin.” Anyone auditioning to be the Master of Ceremonies will also be asked to perform a comic monologue from memory, no longer than 1 minute, and preferably delivered in the character you would like to use in the role. Due to the nature of the show, auditioners under 18 require parent/guardian consent.

Our director, Nick Henn, wishes auditions to be an enjoyable process for everyone involved. If you have any questions email him at
nickwhenn@gmail.com.

Rehearsal dates will be Sundays (time TBD) and Thursdays (10:00pm), October 7th, 11th, 14th, and 18th. Cast members are expected to be available for all of those dates (and the performances). Actors will purchase or create their own costume before Opening Night. Actors' Call will be 11:00pm on performance nights.

Performance nights are Fridays and Saturdays, October 19 - 27, 2012, at 11:59pm. Tickets are $10.00 general admission, and are available at our box office
(321) 783-3127 or through our new Online Ticketing at
www.surfsideplayers.com. CAUTION: Mature Audiences Only. Contains strong language and adult themes, and the movie is rated R for violence and sexual situations. Presented by special arrangement with Criterion Pictures.

Hope to see you there!

Don't forget that the sweetly satirical farce, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 by John Bishop, continues through September 30th on Surfside's stage, directed by Janet Rubin. Tickets are $13 - $18; call the Box Office
(321) 783-3127 or buy tickets online at
